SINCE 1970 A FAMILY HISTORY

The name Armea has ancient roots; it dates back to the time of the Risorgimento War in 1856.

At that time the farmstead was the weapons depot of the glorious Italian army. The farmers who lived there began to call it "armi'a," a dialectal contraction of the word armeria. After the victory and thus the unification of Italy, for all locals the farm became L'ARMEA.

ARMEA agritourism was established in 1999 at the behest of the family that has owned the farmhouse since 1968.

The Agriturismo is located at the foot of the Tower of S. Martino della Battaglia, in a location of intense rural suggestiveness, 4 km from Sirmione and 4 km from Desenzano del Garda. The ideal base from which to explore the many and varied attractions of the region: beautiful walks and horseback rides, bicycle excursions. Many places of historical and cultural interest such as Sirmione (Grotte di Catullo), Gardone Riviera (Vittoriale), Mantua (Palazzo Ducale), Verona (Arena and Roman Theater), Vicenza (Palladio), Padua (Giotto), and Venice are within easy reach as well as the renowned vacation destinations of Lake Garda that offer surfing, sailing, and many other water sports.

This is the ideal place for both an active and eventful getaway and a relaxing vacation.
You may arrive here as a stranger, but we hope you will then leave as friends. The surrounding land is much of it used for agricultural cultivation, vineyard, orchard and small farm animals.
All of the produce is selected and processed on the farm and you can enjoy it in the adjoining trattoria. A large area is reserved for the enjoyment and relaxation of our guests, swimming pool, porch and garden.
Excursions and guided tours to historical locations and food and wine sites are organized upon request.
